Depart from Reykjavik's old harbor for a 3-hour whale-watching tour. Admire the city, surrounding areas, and stunning mountain scenery from the seaside, perfect for photography. You can even see the Snæfells Glacier in the west of Iceland in good weather.
It takes about 30-45 minutes to reach the whale-watching grounds. During this time, your guide will share the area's history, interesting facts, and stories and answer any questions.
Upon reaching the whale-watching grounds, you will learn more about the whales and help the guide spot them. The whales, including Minke Whales, White-Beaked Dolphins, Harbour Porpoises, and Humpback Whales, are sometimes curious and may come close to the boat. Respecting their presence is vital to the experience.
In the winter months and as early as September, the Northern Lights often light up Iceland's skies. Sail out to sea just outside Reykjavik city, away from the lights, to maximize your chances of seeing the auroras. While sightings can't be guaranteed, our experienced crew will try to provide the best possible experience.
