Overview

A one-hour RIB trip from Reykjavík to the seasonal puffin islands, with binoculars, protective clothing and a minimum age of 10.

Use a fast, shallow-draft RIB to reach Reykjavík’s nearby puffin islands and observe the seasonal colony in a small, active boat. This experience is suitable for guests aged 10 and over.

  1. Start

    Check in and prepare

    Meet at Geirsgata 11 for check-in, protective clothing and a safety briefing.

  2. RIB ride to the bird islands

    Travel to Lundey or Akurey and use the supplied binoculars while the guide identifies puffins and other seabirds.

  3. End

    Return to the Old Harbour

    The RIB returns after approximately one hour.
